Common Questions

Why study early childhood education and care?

The early childhood education industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Australia. Based on the government data, the industry is likely to reach 144,000 workers by 2025.

No matter your previous experience and skills, these courses are for you if you're passionate about caring for kids and nurturing their skills during their early years.

Which course should you choose?

Both qualifications have been recently updated and now available for all applicants all over Australia. If you have the old qualification, you may wish to upgrade to the brand new qualifications.

If you are just starting, you will need to complete Certificate III first before you can study the diploma. However, if you already have the old Certificate III (CHC30113), you can kickstart the diploma immediately.

What is self-paced learning?

With self-paced learning, you can study at your own pace without any additional pressure. You will receive full support from our trainers on demand.

You can attend face to face classes by appointment or organise a session with one of our trainers via video call or phone conference. We will make sure you're never left high and dry.

What would be the career progression in the longterm?

With more and more parents joining the workforce and increasing population, the demand for childcare centres in Australia will remain high for a long time. It will result in more centres opening all over Australia.

If you want a long-term career, you should consider studying both qualifications and aim towards becoming a lead educator or supervisor within a couple of years.

The next stage of your journey can be to become a manager or centre director, which is the top position you can secure. You can get paid as much as $80,000 per year in the top job.

You can also consider opening a family daycare scheme or long daycare center if you have the capital.

What is a vocational placement?

As part of your qualification, you are required to acquire some hands-on experience working with kids in a real work environment.

To fulfil this requirement, you will need to complete 160 hours (Cert III) or 280 hours (Diploma) of vocational placement. Most centres are happy to take students for placements, so finding one is not an issue.

We provide you full assistance if you're unable to secure one yourself.
