Practical Placement

Mandatory minimum 240 hours of work placement required to complete this qualification. We encourage students to talk to the local child care centres in their area to secure work placement, however, Zest College will provide assistance in securing work placements. All students undertaking work placement will be covered under our Voluntary Workers Insurance Cover. During work placement, you will be supervised and guided by experience professionals who work at the facility.

This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.
